A Vegas-Style Wedding
Every day at Chapel of the Flowers, I have the privilege to see just how strong love can be. It gets proven time and time again that love doesn’t care how old the couple is, or where they are from or whatever obstacles may stand in their way. It just happens, and lives and thrives when it is embraced. Philomena and Ian Stevens are one of the best examples of the power of love that I have seen.
Philomena and Ian have known each other and been a couple for many, many years. They reached a point in their relationship that throughout the last 15 years, they would joke about what kind of wedding they would have if they were to ever get married. They decided that in the instance that they got married, they’d go all out. They would leave their small town in Nottingham and fly to Vegas! Not only would they do the Vegas wedding, they would do it with Elvis. And that was exactly what Philomena and Ian did.
After their photo shoot, Philomena confessed to me that she actually isn’t an Elvis fan. Despite that, she still really enjoyed herself. Both Philomena and Ian were so happy with the ceremony; they said that it had exceeded their expectations while finally making their ongoing joke come true.
All joking aside, Philomena and Ian were obviously so happy to have gotten married. The love between the two was instantly noticeable from the very moment they first walked in the chapel. They presented a shining example of how love can create an unbreakable bond that holds people together through vast numbers of years.
