An All Star Vegas Wedding
I love the anticipation before meeting my couples when I first greet them at their limousine – this is such an important day for them and I get so excited to be a part of it! On this day, the first limousine pulled up with all the gentleman since the bride and groom had a Deluxe First Look.
At our wedding chapel, we have the Deluxe First Look as an option for when the bride and groom are kept separate from seeing each other until the bride walks down the aisle. Among the men in the first limo, is Chad, the groom who is getting ready to tie-the-knot with his sweetheart! I knew this was going to be a fun group and wedding to coordinate for as soon as they stepped out of the limo – both the groom and groomsmen were all dressed up with their chucks on and ready to go. That is such a creative idea and comfortable!
On this day, I was training a new Wedding Coordinator, Ally. It was fun for her to see how a Deluxe First Look works. So, Ally shadowed me while I checked Chad in and he was so excited to get married. I think he was a little nervous, but I couldn’t really tell for sure. We then put him and his groomsmen in the chapel so he doesn’t see his bride.
Once Chad was checked in and hidden away, Ally and I were ready to meet his soon-to-be wife. We met Shanarra out at the second limousine. She and her bridesmaids were incredibly adorable! Shanarra had on a great wedding dress and the bridesmaids were in blue and purple dresses! Perfect colors for a spring time wedding. The bride and bridesmaids had matching flip flops according to the color of dress they had! I love that idea, especially since I wear flip flops all the time! It’s all about comfort and Shanarra didn’t want them wearing huge, uncomfortable heels.
Ally and I checked Shanarra in and she was so down-to-earth and sweet. She did everything we asked of her, and her bridesmaids were helpful as well. It always makes our job easier when bridal parties listen to what we ask them! While Shanarra was meeting with her minister, we lined the bridal party up. The gentleman’s ties matched with the bridesmaid’s dresses; it was cute.
We directed her to the back of the bridal party and made sure her dress was perfect for walking down the aisle. When we asked about her dress, she said she has had it in her closet for five years and that she and Chad have been together for 10 years. It was a flawless dress and she looked stunning in it. Her Rose Lily Mix Bouquet was also so complimentary to her theme of a spring time wedding.
As a coordinator, I love when couple’s bring their own music to change things up and make it more personal for the couple. Shanarra and Chad did just that and they have really good taste in music! As the bride’s entrance song came on, the tears started flowing. At this point, so did ours! It was tender moment and one that we will remember. I’m sure she was excited and nervous, but ready to get married and the realization that it’s happening at this very moment reminded us of a fairytale wedding.
The two were married and ready to be models during their photo shoot. And let me just say that they have some phenomenal photos that Vanessa and Shanea captured. Ally and I were so honored to have met this couple and been a part of their wedding day! It was definitely a “happily ever after” kind of love. We wish Shanarra and Chad all the best in their life together!
