When I met Tracy and Brian Conwell their story took me by surprise. Look at this couple and you’ll see what I mean; they are so young looking and they have 2 young grandchildren. Does this mean that the old saying is that children keep you young? It appears that this is true for Tracy and Brian.
David and Renee Clauson were married in our lovely Magnolia Chapel on a lovely afternoon in January! David and Renee had quite an amazing story of how they met, being from Texas they are used to alot of strange storms, huuricanes, flooding etc., but one particular storm the power was out and Renee and her child were sitting in the dark.
Mr and Mrs Pape celebrated their special day with us in true Halloween fashion!!! They and their 30 guests from Allen, Texas dressed up in traditional German costume in Lederhosen, hats and little apron dresses! They all looked amazing and got into the Halloween spirit! I think they all had a great time in their costumes!
Yesterday, Military soldier, Michael married Celeste in a perfect wedding that they had patiently waited for.
Oliver and Petera Trappel came to the Chapel of the Flowers for a vow renewal. They traveled all the way from Germany for their renewal ceremony.
Daniel White had quite a surprise in store for his bride, who didn’t know she was going to be a bride when she woke up Saturday morning. Nicole was just thinking they were going on a regular Las Vegas trip, surprise surprise! Daniel had been planning their marriage for quite sometime and the romantic side of him came out when he decided to surprise Nicole even more with inviting family members to the surprise wedding.
Picture it…………Mr. Yves Bollag and his family were on a family trip here in the states. They are staying at the magnificent Bellagio and have ordered for the night a cocktail of fine dining, taking in the sites, sounds and smells of Las Vegas and ending it with a show. It’s about 3:30pm and as Yves is in a small Gift Shop looking over a beautiful necklace for his wife, He comes up with an idea. Full of esteem and loving secrecy, he quickly gathers his 2 sons and whispers to them. Like a igniting a flame with a match, the excitement bursts into action and the anticipation grows between the 3 men.
Chad and Corinne were married at Chapel of the Flowers on August 1 at the beautifully intimate Magnolia chapel. Corinne had no idea the surprise Chad had planned for their special day!
Here it is Friday already, where does the time go? I have been preparing to blog for a couple days now. Trying and thinking too hard about what to blog about or what would everyone want to hear about? Choosing is never easy for me, I get to meet so many really nice couples and their families that sometimes it makes it difficult for me to choose just one to write about.
We love doing weddings here at Chapel of the flowers but our favorites are the Renewal of Vows. On June 27th, 2009 I had the pleasure of coordinating a “Chapel legend.” Arthur & Sharon Kajiwara were married @ Chapel of the flowers in 1965. That is 45 year of successful marriage!!!
