This past Saturday, March 12, 2016, Chapel of the Flowers was excited to participate in Walk for Wishes, Southern Nevada<\/a>. The one mile walk and 5K run is organized by Make-A-Wish\u00ae<\/sup>, Southern Nevada and Caesar’s Foundation to celebrate those who have received a wish and raise money for further wishes to be granted.\u00a0It was a beautiful day to do both for\u00a0Make-A-Wish\u00ae<\/sup>\u00a0Foundation.<\/p>\n

\"Chapel<\/p>\n

Every 37 minutes a wish is granted by Make-A-Wish\u00ae<\/sup><\/a>\u00a0to a child diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition. Since 1977, Make-A-Wish\u00ae<\/sup>\u00a0has seen that these wishes granted are a game-changer for a child during a difficult time. It is with the help of tens of thousands of volunteers, donors and supporters that Make-A-Wish\u00ae<\/sup>\u00a0is able to impact a child’s life through the granting of a wish. Make-A-Wish\u00ae<\/sup>\u00a0goes above and beyond to create an experience that exceeds every child’s expectations.<\/p>\n

“The impact varies. For wish kids, just the act of making their wish come true\u00a0can give them the courage to comply with their medical treatments. Parents might finally feel like they can be optimistic. And still others might realize all they have to offer the world through volunteer work or philanthropy.”<\/em><\/p>\n

\"Make<\/a>Team Chapel of the Flowers raised $3410 to grant the wishes of children in Southern Nevada prior to the “Walk for Wishes” event .\u00a0 Donations can still be made to support this worthy cause.<\/p>\n
