Scottish globe-trotting couple, Laura and David Ripley wed at an intimate ceremony in the Magnolia Chapel on September 23, 2014. Little did they know that their love story would start at a mutual friend’s house 4 years prior on Christmas Day.
After a few months, Laura and David went on their first date. It wasn’t until September 2011, when they traveled to Florida with their families and met up, that they knew they were truly in love. Laura said, “That’s when I knew he was the one.” Six months after their family vacation, Laura and David purchased their first house together.
In September 2013, Laura and David decided to take vacation to Florida. Since Florida held a special place in their hearts, David decided it was the perfect opportunity to ask for Laura’s hand in marriage. This international couple has never wanted a huge wedding, and decided Las Vegas would be the perfect destination to tie the knot.
Laura and David, didn’t only get married but decided to make their wedding vacation a trip to remember. They decided to spend 2 weeks in the United States, and planned an adventurous and non-traditional honeymoon. They traveled to the Grand Canyon to drink champagne, experienced the exhilaration of sky diving, visited the animals with a backstage experience at the San Diego Zoo, shot some zombies with paint balls and did so much more.
With all the adventures and wild experiences they had while in America, Laura’s favorite moment during their trip was being pronounced husband and wife. Laura and David were very happy that Chapel of the Flowers was the chapel they chose to start their life journey together.
