Not once but twice, Vow Renewal
Melisa and J.P. Feustel got married at Chapel of the Flowers inside the Magnolia Chapel just about 11 years ago. They were coming to Las Vegas, once again, but this time just for a vacation, or so J.P. thought. However, Melisa had other plans. She had actually planned a secret renewal of vows ceremony for her and J.P. She planned everything from Florida, and even bought a cute white dress for the ceremony. About two hours before their 8:00 p.m. ceremony, Melisa asked J.P. if he would marry her again. He was shocked, but then happily agreed!
Happy 50th Anniversary!
On November 19th, I had the joy of meeting a couple that have been married for 50 years! Nancy and Patricio Mena were celebrating their 50th anniversary with all their closest family members. Their son booked everything for them and contacted all of their family members, so that they could join them and watch as they renew vows in Las Vegas!
Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed…
This is the first time I have taken the opportunity to write about any of our couples, so I couldn’t help but to decide on an experience that really stood out to me.
Surprise of a Lifetime
How would you celebrate 46 years of marriage? A surprise trip to Vegas of course!
A thoughtful husband named Ed, SURPRISED his wife of 46 years, Carol, with a Renewal of Vows ceremony in Las Vegas! He set everything up for her and made sure everything was planned perfectly. Even more outstanding is that he also surprised her with friends and family who were seated in the chapel when she walked down the aisle. She had no idea that any of them had come all of the way to Las Vegas to be witnesses to their ceremony!
Madonna and Stephan Johnson
Madonna and Stephan Johnson met on a cruise on September 5th, 18 years ago. They ended up falling in love and getting married three years later. So now, on September 5th, 2011, they decided to renew their vows in front of their family members and closest friends. They travelled all the way from Queensland, Australia to have a one-month vacation where they are going travel all around America, while being accompanied by their two boys. During this time, they made sure to make a short stop in Las Vegas to renew their vows. What a great way to celebrate 18 years of life and love together!
Fun from the U.K.
Robert and Sandra and their two children flew in from Hertfordshire to get married after being together for 20 years. They were such a fun couple and by far one of my favorite weddings that I have coordinated. It wasn’t that they had an over-the-top ceremony, it was very intimate and simple, but Robert and Sandra had such a wonderful spirit to them that I will remember them for years to come.
Kevin and JoDee Krippene
On Saturday July 30th, 2011, I had the extreme pleasure of coordinating the Renewal of Vows ceremony for Kevin and JoDee Krippene. After 10 years of marriage, this couple was still light-hearted and easygoing in their interactions with one another. They would make jokes and complemented each other in ways that only two best friends who’d been together for more than 10 years could.
Celebrating 20 Years of Marriage!
Rizaldy and Chona Villegas have been married for 20 years, and they decided to renew their vows at Chapel of the Flowers on Saturday, July 16th. They were joined by 70 of their friends and family members. Since so many loved ones attended their ceremony, their bridal party was forced to stand throughout the entire ceremony because there was no room to sit! They had a large bridal party, which included their four children. All the ladies wore hot pink dresses, and the boys had matching tuxedos on. Everyone was dressed to the nines!
